The Storylines

Saturday's game will be Clemson's second of the season in prime time but its first night game at Death Valley in 2022. Clemson is 41-7 at night since 2015 and 22-4 in night games since 2018. Under newly installed LED lights as part of recent renovations to Memorial Stadium, Clemson will attempt to win its 18th consecutive night game in Death Valley, a streak that dates to the middle of the 2013 season

Clemson has dominated the line of scrimmage tonight. The OL has given DJ time to work comfortably in the pocket. The DL has wreaked havoc.

One of my favorite defensive plays in the first quarter was when Ruke Orhorhoro absolutely blew up a LaTech run play. He's off to a good start this season.

I love the energy that the Clemson secondary has come out with tonight.

With Wiggins and Mukuba out, Fred Davis II and RJ Mickens have stepped up. Mickens had a pick in Q1, and Davis just broke up a pass to stall the LaTech drive- holding them to a field goal on the possession.

Despite being shorthanded, the backups have come ready to play this evening..

Credit to LaTech - their red zone defense has held Clemson to field goals twice tonight. They're bending but not breaking. If their offense can get something going on the next drive, they could really challenge Clemson heading into the half.

Myles Murphy has played his best half of the season. He's flashed NFL potential early tonight.

He has three solo tackles, 2 TFL, and one sack in the first 28 minutes of play.

Clemson DL #55 Payton Page goes down on the field with a lower leg injury. After the injury timeout, he walked off under his own power.

The first 20 seconds of the first half have been fantastic for Clemson.

Defensively, the Tigers came out strong. Ruke Orhorhoro has really stepped up today. He batted down a pass - then Jeremiah Trotter Jr. picked the ball off on the next play.

On the first play after the interception, Will Shipley dashed in for the TD. He's been a scoring machine this year.

Shipley has scored multiple touchdowns in each of his first three games this season.

It's two picks in three minutes! Malcolm Greene intercepts the ball and sets the Tigers up with their second possession of the third quarter.

Clemson is down four defensive starters today - but players like Greene have really stepped up.

It's Beaux time!!!

Collins scores to put the Tigers up 34-6 in the third quarter. It's his second catch of the night.

He's got a scoring streak of his own going- with a touchdown in each of the first three games to start the 2022 season.

It's a tough call. I think they know they have to get him snaps when they can. That's my only guess to be honest. I'm sure we will hear Swinney's thinking on it after the game.
