On being concerned with drops:

“I don't think I'm concerned about it because I think we did a much better job, outside of a couple of plays last game, of making those contested plays down the field.  We had started the game off very fast, which was awesome. We were obviously wanting to get that touchdown right there, and it should've been a touchdown.  It should have been 7-0 off the bat, but that's gonna happen.”

On the performance of the run game:

“I believe we're in a pretty good spot in the running game. This past week we made some big plays that we needed to in the run game.  Some of them came from D.J., and I told the team afterward we have to find ways and continue to find ways to be productive in different ways. Not just throwing the ball, not just running the ball with our running backs, but also with our quarterbacks.  I think that just makes it harder to defend when we have multiple ways to attack someone.”

On Uiagalelei’s rebound after the interception:

“It just comes back to his confidence level and my confidence level in him. I didn't think twice about it. It was a poor decision on the interception, just throw the ball away and live to play another down. I did not lose confidence in him at all. He's been unbelievable when I get on the headset with him or on the phone during the game. He is always very poised and tells me exactly what happened. He's always staying positive.”

On the tight end room:

“It's a huge impact, just being able to have a room of talented and committed guys as well as hard-nosed tough guys.  All of them have done a great job with how tough they are, and just really learning and understanding the big picture of our offense has allowed us to utilize them in different ways-- not just being in-the-box players but out-of-the-box players.  Having multiple tight ends on the field in different spots has given me a ton of confidence, and this offense has a ton of confidence.  On top of that, just making plays in the pass and run game.”

On Florida State’s defense:

“There's no doubt he's a good player (Jared Verse). I know he had an injury early on in the year, and he's getting back. He's a guy that has sparked out there for them. They roll with five or six defensive ends that can play-- they're all twitchy, athletic, your typical Florida State defense that has a ton of athletes out there. He's a really good player (Verse), and he makes plays all over the field. We obviously have to do a good job of executing and everybody being on the same page.”
