Tavoy Feagin‍‍ (Carrollwood Day SchoolTampa, FL) became Clemson's first 2024 football commit on Sunday.

The 6-foot, 171-pound defensive back chose the Tigers over his four other finalists, FSU, LSU, Miami, and his childhood favorite, Alabama.

“For the next three or four years, I’ll be taking my talents to Clemson University,” Feagin said, revealing his choice alongside his family.

Feagin became an Alabama fan through his dad, Michael Feagin, a receiver and running back for The Crimson Tide from 1995-99. That connection aided the Tigers as well because Clemson head coach Dabo Swinney was a graduate assistant (1993-95) and wide receivers coach (1996-2000) when Michael was in Tuscaloosa.

“Really, with the relationship with Coach Swinney, I felt like it was more than just football with him,” Feagin noted. “I felt like my parents felt more close with him and the relationships were just amazing.”

Feagin traveled to Clemson in March, on June 2 to participate in Dabo Swinney’s Camp, and on October 1st for the Tigers' Top 10 matchup with N.C. State, where he developed his relationships with cornerbacks coach Mike Reed and Swinney.

He is a consensus four-star cornerback and Top 20 player at his position in the 2024 class. Additionally, Feagin is listed as a Top 10 safety by the 247Sports Composite rankings.
