Streeter on Uiagalelei: 'D.J. is no doubt the starter'

On if Cade Klubnik will play Saturday:

”We’re still talking about that. D.J. (Uiagalelei) has definitely earned it, though. There’s no question about it. We’re still in discussion about that and how we can utilize Cade, but right now, D.J. is no doubt the starter.”

On tight ends versus South Carolina:

”They did a good job on defense of covering guys and we didn’t do as good of a job of getting open. There were some opportunities, some play calls, that were directed to the tight ends that didn’t get to them. Didn’t get them enough opportunity, that’s what I could do a better job of. But, there were some plays that were definitely going to them that based on the structure or what happened, it didn’t get to them.”

On Antonio Williams:

”I haven’t talked to him. He’s such a good kid, and he’ll bounce right back. We wouldn’t be 10-2 without him and the success he’s had as a freshman. These young kids are very resilient people. They bounce back a lot of times quicker than adults do.”

On if he would have done anything differently:

”Every Saturday that you call a game there’s going to be a couple of plays here or there that you wish you would either called or had different timing on. You look back at how can we execute better because that’s what it’s all about. A lot of it comes down to details and emphasizing the details of every little part of the game.”

On North Carolina’s defense:

”They had some injuries to some key guys on their defense. Statistically, they’re not very high, but they’ve played a lot better these last several games, and it’s going to be a challenge. They’re way better than what their stats show. They run well. They’re big up front in the interior, #33 has the most tackles in the ACC. They’re playing more confidently on defense the last several games.”
