Myles Murphy opts out of Orange Bowl | The Morgan Thomas Show
The Clemson Football team officially loses one of their strongest defensive players ahead of their Orange Bowl matchup with Tennessee as junior defensive end Myles Murphy will not participate in the bowl game. Murphy, a former five-star recruit, elected to opt-out of the contest to prepare for the 2023 NFL Draft.
Murphy has been a consistent force on the Clemson defensive line for three years and will be missed. The Tigers will now look to find a viable replacement for Murphy, who many expect to be a first-round pick. Outside of the seniors who have yet to make a public decision, Clemson will have to rely on young and inexperienced backups to step up in 2023.
