Our Take:

Luke Winstel

Kylen Webb is not one of the most hyped prospects in this class, but he’s the latest of a stellar line of Florida natives to sign with Clemson. The Tigers have previously won important recruiting battles in the state to snag athletes like Sammy Watkins, Tyler Davis, & Mackensie Alexander.

Webb has seen success in track and excelled as a long jumper. His rare athleticism gives the Clemson defensive staff plenty of positive traits to work with. The four-star’s ability to change direction with speed and precision was one of the most impressive attributes showcased on his Hudl reel.

Florida’s 2023 class is loaded. Webb is a four-star and the 247Sports No. 379 player in the nation- but he doesn’t even rank among the top 70 players in the state. Webb is a high-upside piece the Clemson staff will develop over his time in Death Valley. While listed as an athlete, Webb would fit well at safety for Clemson.

Morgan Thomas - Good hands and zone positioning allowing for multiple INTs. Can return punts, play WR and RB. Very physical football player all around. Likes to get in on every play and will lay a hard hit. Skilled running back with balance of outside speed and breaking tackles. Extremely versatile guy who can play zone or man. Would not need to add more than about 15 lbs to be physically ready. Potential to me is very very high.
