Clemson's Hall and Tyson among eight invited to NBA Draft Combine

Clemson basketball center P.J. Hall and former Tiger Hunter Tyson received invitations to the NBA Draft Combine on Sunday night.

Hall and Tyson spent this past weekend (May 13-14) at the NBA G League Elite camp at Wintrust Arena in Chicago, Illinois.

The G League Elite Camp put 45 prospects in front of NBA personnel, including scouts, coaches from the G-league and NBA, and front-office executives. The players were measured, engaged in strength tests, and competed in agility drills and two games in the Windy City.

Hall measured at 6-foot-8, 241 pounds and Tyson was listed at 6-foot-7 1/2, 209 pounds. In game action, Hall averaged 12 points and scored 17 points including 3 of 7 on threes in Game 1.

Tyson averaged 11 points and four rebounds with 12 points and five rebounds in Game 1. The sharpshooter also tied for first place in the three-point shooting drill, making 18 of 25 attempts.

The Combine will give Tyson, the Tigers' leading scorer (15.7 points) and rebounder (9.5) last season, the opportunity to improve his draft status from probable free agent signee to a late pick.

For Hall, who is "testing the waters," this week could determine whether he keeps his name in the June 22 NBA draft or returns to school by the May 31 NCAA deadline.

Hall was the second-leading scorer (15.5) and rebounder (5.6) for the Tigers behind Tyson and his return or departure will greatly impact the program's 2023-2024 campaign.

The Draft Combine is held from May 15-21 and 123 prospects were sent invitations.
