Dabo Swinney on Clemson: 'All the metrics' of success 'are at an all-time high'
Swinney on the new Smart Family Media Center: “First of all, I’d like to thank the Smart Family. Man, this is awesome to have this amazing facility. Long time coming, I guess, and it’s nice for y’all to have a workspace so that you can do what you can do.”
On heading into fall camp: "We are excited. There is no better day than this one right here. This is a day that we look forward to every year. There is a ton that goes into getting to this point. There is a ton of preparation to get to this day. There is a ton of great energy in the building. All the metrics in our program and indicators of success are at an all-time high for our program."
On the freshman: "I want to see the results of the mental work that they've put in since January."
On Beaux Collins: “I think we have an incredibly deep and talented group. It’s going to start with Beaux (Collins). Beaux is a great player. There is a reason why he could have gone wherever he wanted to go in the country. He had a good freshman year, and then last year, he battled through some injuries. He’s still a young player. He's going to be a junior. He’s really developed. If he stays healthy, he’s going to have an amazing year.”
On realignment: “There is a lot going on, man. For sure. Obviously, administrators have a lot happening out there. My job is to get the team ready to play. I don’t get caught up in all that stuff. Honestly, it’s just the next domino to where it’s all going. Eventually, we are going to have-- I don’t know what the number is, we are going to have a 40, 50, 54 teams and it’s going to be a 14-- 16 team playoff deal and it’s going to be whatever you want to call it. That’s where it’s going to go eventually.”
