The Storylines

Clemson is 45-15-1 all-time in night games at Memorial Stadium. That includes a 21-3 record under the Death Valley lights in Dabo Swinney's tenure. Clemson has not lost a prime-time game at home since October 2013.

Clemson is one of two teams in the country to rank in the Top 10 in both total offense (550.5 yards per game, 7th) and total defense (223.5, T-8th). Clemson's defense vaulted into the Top 10 after surrendering only 73 yards and four first downs a week ago. After two games, Clemson ranks ninth in the nation in pass defense (118.0 yards per game) following a season in which the Tigers ranked 76th nationally at 231.7 yards allowed per game in 2022.

Offensively, Clemson's productivity has been built on balance, where the Tigers join Florida State, Georgia Tech and Oregon as the only teams in the country to rank in the Top 25 in both rushing offense and passing offense per game. The Tigers also lead the nation with 33.0 first downs per game.

Cade Klubnik throws a 30-yard TD strike on a deep ball to freshman Tyler Brown. Klubnik was perfect on all passes on the drive.

A 9 play, 79 yard drive that took up 3:52 on the clock. XP is no good. Clemson leads Florida Atlantic 13-0.

FAU tries to roll the dice with a fake punt but Clemson was ready for it. Khalil Barnes makes the tackle short of the line to gain.

Tigers take over inside FAU territory at the 40, leading 14-0.

Tigers move to 2-1 with a strong performances on defense with turnovers and an offense that is continuing to take steps in the right direction. Of course, it's human nature to take the foot off the gas in the 2nd half but lots the Tigers can still learn from.

The showdown with Florida State looms next Saturday at noon.
