The Shepherd Hotel Downtown Clemson | Where Southern Hospitality Meets Clemson Family

Welcome to a warm boutique experience in the heart of downtown Clemson. At The Shepherd Hotel, every room is curated for comfort, every event features a backdrop of spectacular views, and every guest is invited to experience the heartfelt hospitality of our team.

Tyler Brown, freshman wide receiver from Greenville, South Carolina, showed off his elite skills against Florida Atlantic on Saturday night in Death Valley. Brown finished the game with three receptions for a total of 49 yards and two touchdowns, including the first of his career at Clemson.

With seven minutes left in the first quarter, quarterback Cade Klubnik went deep over the middle to Brown. He caught the first touchdown pass of his career for 30 yards, to put the Tigers up 13-0.

Brown expressed his excitement to the media when asked about how special it is to have grown up in the area and getting to score that first touchdown pass.

“Very special man, my first one, my first night game. Coming off last week's game… we just have to keep growing as a team and I feel like we are doing that.”

Klubnik was also asked about Brown in his postgame interview.

“A lot of energy— he’s a guy that I can depend on.”

With three minutes left in the third quarter, Brown caught an impressive 2 yard pass, fighting off an FAU defender and scoring a touchdown, his second of the night and putting the Tigers up 41-0 over the Owls.

Dabo Swinney was impressed by Brown and commented on his performance in the postgame press conference.

“We've already unleashed him. He's been doing an amazing job. It's been awesome to see No. 6 take what he's done on the practice field to game day. I don't want to put it on him, but he looks like a young Jacoby Ford running around out there."

This week the Tigers get ready to take on No. 4 Florida State, a game that will have huge implications in both the ACC and CFP. The game is scheduled for a 12 PM kickoff on ABC.
