Cade Klubnik

On feeling comfortable against Florida Atlantic: "I just had a lot of joy on Saturday and just really fun. It was a fun game right off the bat and obviously [we] got rolling early and I felt really comfortable out there."

On FSU's defense: "A great defense. All around a heck of a team. It's gonna be a great matchup for us and they've got great athletes all around."

On the momentum built from the victories over Charleston Southern and Florida Atlantic: "The way that we've been able to spread the ball around to our running backs, Phil [Mafah] and Will [Shipley], and getting to all of our receivers. I think we're just spreading the ball around in a very efficient and effective way. It all starts up front with our offensive line. So the way that they've been able to work every single down and it takes a lot of stress off of me. It's been great and I'm proud of them."

On the quarterback run and how it affects the offense: "Just kind of having that time clock in my head. We had a few times in this last game and things aren't there -- boom, take off. So, I think being able to use my legs when I can, not forcing it, but going through my progressions and if it's not there, see a window and take off. You're gonna get six or seven and I think that gets things rolling, and keeps drives going."

On offensive coordinator Garrett Riley being on the sideline instead of in the booth: "I love having him on the field. Just the ability to walk over and literally just talk to him. I wouldn't say that accessibility is down at all. I'm a face-to-face type of person. So I like being able to talk to the person that I know is gonna be calling our plays and managing the game. I definitely enjoy that and having him right there to come off the sideline and pump us up."

On having to redshirt last year: "The biggest thing for me was just learning the offense. Just really learning a lot and obviously coming from high school to college is a big difference, especially the line of scrimmage with the talent, size, and the speed of the game. So, I think that year I took gave me a chance to acclimate, get my feet back under me, and really build a solid base."

On getting his first start: "It was honestly surreal. You know, growing up playing football from a young age, it's something that you always dream about. It was a lot to process. I'm still processing it. I felt like I had a good performance. Obviously, there are things I need to clean up, but I look forward to getting better in the future and hopefully building on that."

On the battle with Tristan Leigh for the left tackle position: "Honestly, it's hard for me to view it as a battle. I love the guy. I love him on and off the field. And really all it's about is just both of us going out there every day and doing the best we can and however that pans out we're happy for each other."
