Former Clemson star and current Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver, Justyn Ross, has found himself in legal trouble after being arrested in Shawnee, Kansas on Monday.

According to the Johnson County Sheriff's Office booking report, Ross is now facing a felony charge of criminal damage amounting to over $25,000. (This number was updated later to $1,000 up to $25,000)

The 23-year-old Ross was subsequently booked into the Johnson County jail, though the report does not provide any specific details or indicate whether a bond has been set in his case. A court date has been scheduled for Tuesday, as listed on the Johnson County sheriff's website.

Ross, who made his way to the Chiefs last season as an undrafted free agent, unfortunately had to sit out the entire 2022 season due to injury. However, this year, he has been an active presence on the field, participating in all seven of the Chiefs' games with three catches for a total of 34 yards.

The Chiefs confirmed their awareness of Ross's arrest but have refrained from making any official comments at this time.

Update Tuesday from ESPN.com is below -–

Chiefs wide receiver Justyn Ross has been charged with domestic battery and criminal property damage of less than $1,000, court records in Johnson County, Kansas, show.
Ross was arrested Monday in Shawnee, Kansas, a suburb of Kansas City. He pleaded not guilty to both misdemeanor charges during his arraignment hearing on Tuesday afternoon, and his bond was set at $2,500 with various conditions, including no contact with the accuser or any witnesses.
The Kansas domestic battery charge that Ross is facing is defined as "knowingly causing physical contact with a person with whom the offender is involved or has been involved in a dating relationship or a family or household member, when done in a rude, insulting or angry manner."
The items in the property damage charge, according to the Shawnee police, include a laptop, a computer monitor, an iPhone, a gold bracelet and a car key. He originally had been facing a felony charge, with damage value exceeding $1,000, but it has since been amended to a misdemeanor and value of less than $1,000.
