No. 14 Clemson Plays Host to Louisville in ACC Semifinal
CLEMSON, S.C. – The No. 14 Clemson men’s soccer program is set to host Louisville in ACC Semifinal action on Wednesday evening at Historic Riggs Field. Kickoff is set for 8:00 p.m. on ACC Network.
The No. 4 seeded Tigers advanced past the No. 5 seeded Duke Blue Devils on Sunday night to secure a spot in the semis. Tyler Trimnal scored two goals in regulation to lead Clemson, before Joseph Andema saved two Blue Devil PKs to help the Tigers advance in penalties, 4-1.
Louisville upset Notre Dame in a thrilling 4-3 victory on Sunday night to advance to the semifinals. The Cardinals took an early 3-0 lead, before the Fighting Irish rallied to tie the score at 3. Josh Jones netted a goal for Louisville in the 89' to give the Cardinals the victory.
Clemson owns a 5-4-1 record all-time against the Cardinals.
Tickets for Wednesday’s game are free for any student with an ACC school ID. For all others, tickets are $10 for adults, and FREE for anyone under 18.
