Q: You mentioned yesterday the starting offense hasn’t turned it over in three games. What have you seen from Tait and that group at large to cut down on that stuff recently?

“Just confidence. Game has just slowed down. And just confidence in the pocket, confidence moving around. Certainly you see confidence running the ball. His decision-making has gotten cleaned up.

“Some of the turnovers that he had earlier was a couple of just decision-type stuff. But everybody’s just doing a little bit better job with the execution.”

Q: I certainly want to be respectful of Cole Turner’s situation, but can you share anything on his status, how he’s doing right now?

“Yeah, no, nothing. He’s doing fine, but he’s not with us.”

Q: He’s still a member of the team, correct? He’s not with you practicing?

“He is currently, yes.”

Q: The defense has been able to produce 10 sacks in the last two games. What’s been working for that unit as of late to generate that much pressure?

“Well, they’re winning matchups. It’s really—we’ve brought some pressure that’s gotten home. We’ve had some games and some twists and things like that that the guys have executed with a little more precision. But we’ve also just won some matchups.

“Our technique—the guys have just gotten better. It’s really been all year long, and they’ve just gotten better. That’s one of the biggest areas of improvement on our team has been our pass rush, our disruption up front as we’ve kind of settled in and learned our personnel, et cetera.

“So just individual improvement, good fundamentals and technique with great effort applied. And then just some—when we have brought pressure, we’ve been able to get home. That’s been good.”

Q: Jarvis Green got his largest load of the season against Florida State. What has he been able to show you through practice and games to earn him this larger role?

“Jarvis, honestly, would have had a larger role the last couple years. He just hadn’t been available. He was out all last year and kind of banged up the year before.

“When he’s played, he’s really always flashed. He really has. He’s missed a game or so this year as well. He’s had to miss a lot of practice time.

“So he’s just, again, never really been a guy that disappoints. Every time he’s had opportunity, even before he was playing on game day, he’d get opportunity in practice, he would always catch your eye.

“So it’s just good to have him available, and he’s been productive with those opportunities. And so that’s really the main thing.”
