On wideout Troy Stellato: “He’s done well. He was one of those guys that missed some time, but we got him back before the first game. He’s one of those top guys that we are counting on every single week. We need him to be ready and to take advantage of his opportunities.”
On the NC State Rivalry and not playing the Wolfpack again until 2027: “I’d say it’s weird to me, but I didn’t know that. I have no idea who we play next year. It’s a new world, 2024, man. We’ve got 17 teams, but I haven’t even looked at who we play next year. It is what it is.”
On Shelton Lewis playing Nickelback: “That’s something we really worked him at a lot last year. He’s a really good corner. He’s our third corner, so that nickel position—we’ve got two or three guys we’ve really been working there. We moved Khalil (Barnes) to the back end, he can still go play there. But we feel like Khalil on the back end was the best path to go for that (App State) game.”
On Peter Woods and Tyler Brown’s health: “Still day to day. Getting better.”
On Dacari Collins returning to Death Valley: “Good kid. Happy he is doing well, but we talk about our guys.”
On the ACC’s response on Peter Woods being chop-blocked: “Oh yeah. We are on the same page. We had good communication with them. We talked through everything, and I appreciated how they responded.”
On attending Diondre Overton’s funeral: “Funeral is tomorrow (Thursday). We’ve got a good group of Clemson folks that will be heading up there. We’ve got a staff meeting early, and there is a group of us who will head up after that. It’s at noon, and then we will get back in time for meetings and practice.”
