The Storylines

Saturday's game against AP No. 8 SMU will be Clemson's second game against an AP Top 10 team this season, joining its season opener against then-No. 1 Georgia. Clemson has 30 wins all-time against AP Top 10 squads. Eighteen of those 30 wins have come under Head Coach Dabo Swinney, who is 18-13 in his 31 previous matchups against Top 10 teams.

Good evening everyone! What a difference a week makes -- Clemson is in the ACC Championship tonight against SMU in Charlotte. With a win, the Tigers are headed to the College Football Playoff. Should be a fun one here in about an hour and 20 minutes.

Kickoff time is slated for 8:14 p.m. as the Texas-UGA game just wrapped up. Trevor Etienne scored the game winning touchdown for the Dawgs in overtime. The game is on ABC for those at home.

That was an impressive response from SMU. Kevin Jennings scores from 24 yards out. They got the tempo going on that drive and it got the Tigers out of rhythm defensively.

10 play, 75 yards, 3:42 off the clock. Mustangs right back in it, trailing 14-7 with 7:05 to play first quarter.

Clemson's defense has been so impressive today. They come up with another stop. Parker, Brown, and Carter have all stepped up in the first half. Carter made multiple big plays on that drive with a TFL and pass breakup.

- Clemson's defense has forced multiple takeaways and set the tone for the team today.
- The Tigers looked loose in warmups, and the team appeared calm and confident.
