Clemson’s Recruiting Avalanche Continues: Tigers Add Two More Commitments
Clemson football recruiting is showing no signs of slowing down.
Just one day after landing four commitments on June 1, the Tigers added two more prospects to their rapidly growing 2027 class on Tuesday, bringing their commitment total to 21 and extending one of the most remarkable recruiting runs in recent program history.
The latest additions are elite special teams prospect Brandin Gallaway and Alabama defensive end JiQuan Rogers, giving Clemson 14 commitments in just over two weeks as Dabo Swinney and his staff continue to build momentum at an extraordinary pace.
Nation's Top Punter Joins the Class
Gallaway, a standout from Palmetto High School in Palmetto, Florida, announced his commitment to Clemson on Tuesday.
The left-footed specialist is widely regarded as one of the premier kicking prospects in the country. According to Kohl's Kicking rankings, Gallaway is rated as the No. 1 punter and No. 4 kicker in the 2027 recruiting cycle.
Landing an elite specialist this early in the process gives Clemson a long-term answer in the kicking game while adding another highly regarded prospect to a class that continues to stack talent across multiple positions.
Tigers Dip Into Alabama Again
Later Tuesday, Clemson added another piece to the defensive front when Rogers announced his commitment online.
The Ramsay High School standout from Birmingham, Alabama, is rated as a three-star defensive end and carries an 83.33 Industry Rating. Rogers, who had 56 tackles and 14 sacks last season, gives Clemson another developmental edge prospect with upside and further strengthens a defensive haul that has grown considerably during the Tigers' recruiting surge.
The commitment is also noteworthy because it comes from Dabo Swinney's home state. Clemson has long recruited Alabama, and the Tigers once again found success there by pulling a prospect out of Birmingham.
Now, with Gallaway and Rogers on board, Clemson has added six commitments in roughly 48 hours.
The bigger picture is even more impressive.
Since mid-May, the Tigers have landed 14 commitments, transforming the outlook of the 2027 class and positioning themselves among the nation's most active programs on the recruiting trail.
What stands out most about Clemson's recent run is the balance.
The Tigers are not simply loading up at one position group. Instead, they have added offensive linemen, defensive linemen, edge rushers, tight ends, specialists, and multiple blue-chip prospects across the board.
Swinney’s methods have been questioned by the national media. High school players are delivering the answer: Swinney’s program is still strong.
Gallaway fills a critical special-teams need as a versatile specialist, while Rogers adds another defensive piece as Clemson continues to build depth along the front seven.
With 21 total commitments already in the fold and recruiting momentum continuing to build, the Tigers have established themselves as one of the hottest programs in the country on the trail.
