It took a while, but both former Clemson wide receivers, Deon Cain and Ray-Ray McCloud were selected Saturday during the NFL Draft.

Late last night, Dorian O'Daniel was selected as the 100th pick in the draft and the last pick of the 3rd round.

Cain and McCloud had to wait most of the afternoon before hearing their names called.

Cain was selected 185th by the Indianapolis Colts. Cain will join former Clemson Tiger T.J. Green with the Colts.

Todd McShay said of Cain, "A vertical route runner who can get down the field. You can't coach 4.43 speed."

Two spots after his teammate, McCloud was taken by the Buffalo Bills with the 187th pick. He joins Shaq Lawson in Buffalo.

Both players chose to leave Clemson with a year of eligibility remaining.

Ray-Ray McCloud may end up being a fixture as a special teams player in the NFL.

Mel Kiper Jr. said, "You think about a guy who can get it done on special teams. Punt return ability is a big plus. If he can be a great return man, that will be his early entry into the NFL. That's where he shines. That's where he is at his best."

For a comparison, a year ago, Caleb Brantley was selected 185th and signed a 4-year contract worth $2,579,988 with the Browns on May 19, 2017. Brantley received a guarantee worth $179,988 including a $179,988 signing bonus.

The 187th pick a year ago was Mike Tyson. Tyson sign4-year year contract worth $2,572,000 with the Seahawks on May 16, 2017. Tyson received a guarantee worth $172,000 including a $172,000 signing bonus.
