ESPN's Andre Snellings has former Clemson quarterback Deshaun Watson as the No. 1 fantasy quarterback heading into the 2018 season.

Earlier this week, we asked if Watson could become the "face of the league" and one aspect we didn't even touch on was the fantasy aspect of the NFL. In our estimation, that fact alone would further support Watson's chances to become one of if not the most marketable names in the NFL.

As for Snellings' article, he noted:

For me, the answer is easy: Watson is the No. 1 quarterback prospect in this year's draft. Period.

He said that he was certainly in the minority, but gave his reasons behind his thought process including Watson's play over a five-game stretch last season before being injured.

During the next five games, Watson would complete 63.1 percent of his pass attempts on his way to averaging 294.4 passing yards, 3.6 passing touchdowns and only 1.4 interceptions per game. On the ground, Watson would average 5.8 rushes for 37.2 yards per game, with another touchdown scored.

According to Snellings, that would equate to 28.3 fantasy points per game (FP/G).

Snellings went on to list the top five scoring quarterbacks in fantasy last season.

Top Five Fantasy Quarterbacks in 2017

Russell Wilson 21.7 FP/G
Carson Wentz 21.7 FP/G
Aaron Rodgers 21.5 FP/G
Alex Smith 19.7 FP/G
Cam Newton 18.7 FP/G
