Sporting News picks Clemson to win the ACC
The Tigers come into the 2018 season on a quest to win a fourth consecutive ACC title, something no team in the ACC has ever done. Don't believe us? Read this article from last week.
As for Bill Bender from the Sporting News, he thinks the Tigers will get it done in 2018. Here's what Bender had to say about the Atlantic Division:
"Who else would we pick? The Tigers are loaded again under Dabo Swinney. The defensive line features four potential All-Americans, led by Christian Wilkins. Tavien Feaster and Travis Etienne offer running back depth. The quarterback intrigue between Kelly Bryant and Trevor Lawrence is a first-world problem. The Tigers have lost two division games the last four years, and it looks like that might not change."
As for the ACC Title, he sees no other option:
"We haven't even mentioned receiver Hunter Renfrow and offensive lineman Mitch Hyatt are back on offense, too. This team is loaded and has the right mix of veteran leadership and incoming five-star talent. They'll be pushed in conference play — Clemson did lose to Pitt in 2016 and Syracuse in 2017 — but there just isn't a better option to choose from. The Tigers will make it four in a row."
His ACC Standings look as follows:
ACC Atlantic
1. Clemson
2. Florida State
3. NC State
4. Louisville
5. Wake Forest
6. Boston College
7. Syracuse
ACC Coastal
