The Same, but Different

What a difference one week makes, huh?

Two weeks ago, following Clemson's victory over Furman, during his postgame press conference, Dabo Swinney pulled out a stat sheet and mentioned how similar Kelly Bryant and Trevor Lawrence had performed from a statistical standpoint.

Been kicked off Twitter so this may be my only way of conversating for now atleast, I hope the live chat gets opened up to everyone soon. KB made a few clutch plays but could have done better, Trevor very well could have done so as well but it's clear the coaches have more confidence in the more experienced Bryant in these situations and deservedly so. I definitely believe play calling has to be better, too many times, drives stalled out because of bad play calling and not the QB play on either TLAW or KB2. The screen has got to go away, atleast for now and more chances need to be taken on 3rd down and not QB options or up the middle runs.

On that second drive of the 2nd half - Lawrence threw a beautiful pass to Renfrow for about 8 yards. It's too bad we didn't get to see him again, but you could feel the momentum with Bryant. It's a good problem to have.

I've looked into it, but I'm not sure that it's possible the way we have it. I'd love to do that, especially while we grow the site.

In my opinion, TL is being severely handcuffed. What we've seen in Bryant is all we're gonna get. He is crazily inaccurate. He can't hit a bubble screen. This happened several times during the first two games. The throw to Overton for a TD might as well been blindfolded because no way in hell he can make it twice. The toss to Renfrow was basically up for grabs. So why get excited about Bryant? We've seen this before and it failed when counting most. Bryant is compared to Hurts from Alabama. Big deal, he can win the conference title but can't win the National Championship. Dabo is completely ignorant to that fact. TL is the only quarterback capable of opening up the running game. That's because he's a threat with his arm and Bryant is not. Alabama will eat Bryant alive. Ditto from last year.

Valid points. I think the biggest thing is still the recognition of what he is to the team which is the leader and it's my belief that he is big enough to recognize when the right time should be.

I don't think it was A&M- that's for sure and I went in expecting that game to be the shift.
