Swinney would put Zion Williamson 'wherever he wanted to play'
It’s too late to bring him in, but Clemson Football may be recruiting one more athlete–Zion Williamson.
After Duke’s Mike Krzyzewski, better known as “Coach K”, interviewed Dabo Swinney on his Sirius XM radio show on Thursday, Clemson’s own jokingly said that he would “Put in the Wildcat, no doubt,” if he had Williamson in Tiger Town.
The national championship-winning coach actually suggested that he would allow the 6’7, 292-lb basketball sensation Zion Williamson “wherever he wanted to play”, but specifically mentioned that he would like to see him at tight end, wideout, or defensive end, possibly even quarterback.
Williamson has been questioned countless times about whether he could perform as well on the field as he does on the court, but according to the star-athlete, he never pursued football because his high school didn’t have a football team and didn’t hit his biggest growth spurt until his junior year.
