Trayvon Mullen joins Clelin Ferrell in Oakland, Drafted 40th overall
Trayvon Mullen will join former Clemson defensive lineman Clelin Ferrell in Oakland as the Tiger cornerback was taken with the 40th overall pick in the NFL Draft.
Mullen declared for the NFL Draft following a three-year Tiger career in which he posted 94 tackles, 4.5 tackles for loss, three quarterback pressures, four interceptions, a forced fumble.
As we noted earlier this week, Mullen felt like he was the top corner in the draft and ultimately was the fifth cornerback taken.
The Florida native was named the College Football Playoff National Championship Defensive MVP and had 12 pass breakups in 1474 snaps over 41 games during his career.
Playing in the AFC West, Mullen will get to face off against former Clemson wideouts Mike Williams (Chargers) and Sammy Watkins (Chiefs) on a regular basis.
