'There's hurricanes everywhere': Dabo Swinney ready for the weekend
On where this weekend’s game:
- Swinney says that Clemson and Miami will be won at the line of scrimmage. Says to keep your eyes there.
- Swinney says Clemson will “have our hands full” with the Hurricanes this weekend. Says QB King, “Can do it all."
- “Got the biggest challenge that we’ve had all year for sure, in Miami. It’s pretty easy to see when you turn the film on."
- Swinney says the crowd will bring plenty of energy for their Top 10 matchup with Miami.
Dabo Swinney on Bryan Bresee:
- “We are getting more than we could have expected out of Bryan Bresee.” — “He’s got a bright bright future. If he stays healthy he will be a Freshman All-American guy.”
- Compares Bryan Bresee to Christian Wilkins, Dexter Lawrence, and Grady Jarrett. “He’s a combination of a lot of guys we’ve had come through here.”
Dabo Swinney on the team so far:
- “Proud of our team and everything that they’ve accomplished this far. We are 3-0 and we haven’t played our best football.”
- Swinney is happy with Clemson’s special teams play this season.

- Says that “last year was a learning experience for him” — “I’ll be honest with you, I don’t really care about who runs out there first, I fell really good about what we’ve got a corner."
On the Pac-12 and 8-team playoff:
- Swinney will not "waste any brain cells” on the Pac-12 and an 8-team playoff.
On Will Swinney being named to William V. Campbell Trophy:
- “He’s a brilliant young man. His academic excellence is through the roof. He’s been one of the steadiest players we’ve had in our program. That was a pretty cool moment. Super proud.”
