Tigers strike the Keystone State as TE Markus Dixon commits
I’m not sure what it felt like when Ben Franklin discovered electricity, but the Keystone State sent a jolt of energy into Clemson’s recruiting class today as high-valued three-star tight end Markus Dixon (Warminster, PA) committed to the Tigers moments ago.
Dixon (6’5, 230) joins Olsen Patt Henry as the next two potential threats at tight end for passing game coordinator Kyle Richardson.

Dixon took an official visit to Clemson on June 3 for Coach Swinney’s camp this summer and he was impressive according to multiple reports. Following the visit, Dixon called the Tigers a “powerhouse program” that is “in the top 4 or 5 every year.”
Dixon held offers from many schools, including his Top 6 of Clemson, Oklahoma, Rutgers, Miami, Texas A&M, and Cincinnati. Dixon noted in our exclusive audio interview with him that Clemson’s approach to the educational side of the process is what stood out to him.
Tomorrow two other Clemson targets will announce their destinations as safety Jalon Kilgore (6’1, 194-pounds) and defensive end Victor Burley (6’4, 275-pounds) will both render decisions.
