Swinney on the updates in the stadium:

"Had to retrain my eyes because there is a lot of new sight things (in Death Valley).

Swinney on D.J. Uiagalelei:

"Proud of D.J. and the way he's playing. Just with his legs, his arms. Just making really good decisions."

Swinney on getting better every week:

"Hopefully, we can put all three phases together next week and play our best game-- it's hard to believe the 1st quarter of the season is over next Saturday night."

Swinney on the Tigers’ performance:

"There is not excuses. We will get better. 2-0. It's hard to win. You ain't never gonna hear me complain about a win. I think there were some good teams that got beat today. I ain't never gonna lose respect for the blessing. It's hard to win."

Swinney on D.J. Uiagalelei:

"Ain't nobody been more under the fire than him-- and 2 games don't make a season-- lot of toughness. He's in a good place. We've been better around him-- but he's better. I wish we would have been able to do more in the 2nd half."

"He knows that he has to do. He's making good decisions. He's gotten locked in mentally. I think he pushed through that last year-- those last three games he was 'coming out of the funk' if you will. Long way to go. He's made big plays."

"It's a developmental game. You get better if you are made of the right stuff-- and he's made of the right stuff. He's an awesome kid. He's a very humble kid. Unbelievable leader."

Swinney on Tyler Davis being out:

"He'll be fine. He just got a little banged up. But he will be alright. We held him out to get him 100% don't want anything lingering."

Swinney on Ella Bresee:

"Unfortunately Ella wasn't able to be here today. She was here all week. She got to speak to the team on Wednesday-- but had a real setback. They actually airlifted her back to D.C. today. She's 15 years old. She's the toughest Bresee-- in that whole family."

Swinney said that Bryan Bresee will 'go home tonight and try to get home for a couple of days' to spend time with his family.
