On bouncing back: We talked about it at the beginning of the week: Adversity is the companion to the champion and the adversary to the weak. Which one are you going to be?

"Nobody ever wants to lose, but sometimes you have to give the opponent credit. It's part of getting better. It's about managing failure. You have to manage success too, but you've got to manage failure. There hasn't ever been a champion that didn't have some adversity."

On winning the division outright: Swinney said it was "one of my personal goals to win the division because it's the last one." (Divisions go away next year in the ACC.)

On D.J. Uiagalelei: D.J. did an outstanding job. He's had a rough couple of weeks-- it just is what it is. This was kind of a do or die day-- man, he responded. He played his butt off."

On the offense: "We did some explosive things in the passing game and ran the ball. Mafah, his first 100-yard game. Shipley was over 100, and then I think that last play cost him, but he still had 97-yards."

On Barrett Carter: "Barrett Carter? Wow. 8 tackles, 3.5 TFLs, 2 sacks, and an interception. That doesn't happen very often in college football."

On Cunningham getting injured: "I hate Malik (Cunningham) went out. I got a chance to see him after the game. He's special. He's a great competitor. Hopefully, he's going pro, and I won't have to deal with him anymore."

Swinney on Trenton Simpson: "Hopefully, he will be back next week. He just couldn't go this week. Hopefully, both (he and Walker Parks) will be back next week they were close, but not where they would clear them to play."
