Clemson hosted dozens of the nation's top recruits for the home rivalry matchup against South Carolina. Most of the team's 2023 commits were in TigerTown for the weekend. Here's what some of the visitors had to say about their experience in Death Valley and the game:

Uncommitted three-star ATH Khalil Barnes: “It was great. The best part of the visit was going to Coach Swinney's house and just vibing with the fam, coaches, players, and other prospects. I took away that I could come and make an impact and that Clemson is a really special place.”

Four-star WR commit Ronan Hanafin: “It was obviously not the outcome we were looking for, but it was great to be back in Death Valley again to see all the coaches, players, and recruits.”

His favorite part on the visit: "Getting to experience one of the best atmospheres in college football."

Four-star DL commit Victor Burley: "What stood out to me is that even though they lost, everyone did not hang their heads low but what was ready to work. They still treated us like we were family, too, as if we were part of the team already."

Four-star LB commit Dee Crayton: "It was a great visit as usual, especially with a lot of the priority recruits and commits there. The game didn't end as we wanted, but that doesn't take away from the great hospitality and family feel that Clemson provides. This was my last visit and game as a recruit until I go to Clemson in January, so it was definitely fun getting to enjoy all the things as a recruit before I'm actually on the team."

What he's looking forward to about joining the program in January: "Just being able to grow mentally and physically during my freshman year and being able to get adjusted to the game as well as the lifestyle."

Three-star CB commit Misun Kelley: "The visit was amazing, great fans, everything stood out to me."

His favorite part of the official visit: "Sunday because I got to spend a lot of time with the coaches and other recruits. My favorite moment on gameday was the most exciting seconds of college football, and that's the hill."

Three-star IOL Mason Wade: "My visit went great as well! What stood out to me was how much energy the fans and plays bring to the table."

He spoke with Coach Austin and noted that spending time with the coaches pregame was his favorite moment on the visit. Wade said highly of Austin, "I think he really knows his football well, and he really cares about you as a person and is a great person."

Four-star Noble Johnson‍, Clemson WR commit: "The visit was amazing! It's crazy how much time these coaches put into this sport and getting to know recruits and our parents better. The coaches displayed what Clemson football is like. Despite the loss, we all still came together and enjoyed each other because we are family.”

Johnson added, "I truly don't know where to start with the trip. Everything about it was great. Everyone should want to come to Clemson, and if they don't- they're missing out on life."

The Tigers are #10 in the On3 rankings for the 2023 class and plan to add more pieces to finish off the group over the coming weeks. Stay locked into clemsonsportstalk.com for more coverage of Clemson's incoming class.
