NC State graduate transfer Jack Clark‍ chose Clemson over Arkansas, Villanova, and Xavier on Tuesday.

Clark, a combo forward, will suit up for a third school in five years. He originally committed to Lasalle in 2018, where he was on campus for four years, including a redshirt season (2019-20) before moving on to N.C. State last season.

The Cheltenham, PA native averaged 9 points, 6.9 rebounds, 1.5 assists, and 1.7 steals in 17 games for the Wolfpack.

In the two matchups against the Tigers, he scored 7 points and grabbed 11 rebounds on Dec. 20, 2022, and added 10 points and seven rebounds in the ACC Tournament clash on March 9.

Clark was used at the power forward position for The Pack but is athletic enough to guard small forwards.

At 6-foot-8, 220 pounds, Clark is very similar to former Clemson combo forward Hunter Tyson (6'8, 217). Tyson spent most of his career at power forward until moving to the perimeter in 2022. He had a dynamic final campaign averaging 15.3 points, 9.6 rebounds while making 40 percent of his three-point attempts and 84 percent of his free throws.

Clark, a career 30-percent three-point shooter, lacks Tyson's deft shooting touch from distance but hits the boards (5.8 career average) and makes free throws (80 percent) like the former 2022 All-ACC first-team member. He also averaged 10.5 points in 86 games (60 as a starter).

Clemson is now up to three commits in the 2023 class. Forward Asa Thomas‍ signed on Nov. 9. 2022 and former Air Force guard Jake Heidbreder gave his pledge last month.
