Billy Amick, a former All-American at Clemson, has announced his commitment to Tennessee, marking a return to the team that was key in ending the Tigers’ season after winning a thrilling 6-5 game in 14 innings. The Volunteers would go on to beat Charlotte to win the Clemson Regional and then advanced to play in the College World Series after knocking off Southern Miss.

Amick's decision to enter the transfer portal was reported on June 16, and today he took to Twitter to express his excitement for the future, saying, "Excited for what is next! Go vols!"

Although Amick's playing time was limited to nine games as a freshman, things took off during his sophomore season. Recognizing his outstanding performance, Collegiate Baseball honored Amick, a sophomore infielder hailing from Batesburg, S.C., with a first-team All-American title.

His statistics for the year included a batting average of .413, 13 home runs, two triples, 17 doubles, and 63 RBIs. Additionally, he received the distinction of being a First-Team All-ACC selection.
