Clemson will seek its first conference win of 2023 and attempt to hand Syracuse its first loss of the 2023 campaign when the Tigers face the Orange on Saturday, Sept. 30. Kickoff at the JMA Wireless Dome in Syracuse, N.Y., is scheduled for noon ET.

Clemson is 14-4 under Dabo Swinney — and 13-3 since 2015 — against undefeated opponents that are 4-0 or better. Those figures include handing undefeated Syracuse its first losses in both 2018 and 2022.

Clemson has not lost consecutive games in a single season since November 2011. Clemson's 158 consecutive games played without consecutive losses in the same season are the program's longest streak in school history and the nation's longest active streak. Clemson will attempt to extend that streak Saturday following a hardfought overtime loss to No. 4/3 Florida State a week ago. In all, Clemson is 32-8 in games following a loss under Dabo Swinney, including season openers following a loss in the previous season finale.

Saturday's game will be the 12th all-time meeting between the two orange-adorned programs. Clemson is 9-2 against Syracuse all-time and is looking to make the Orange the 19th program against which the Tigers have earned at least 10 wins all-time.

TD Clemson. Great job by Cade Klubnik to make a play on the run, keeping his eyes downfield. He connects with Troy Stellato for a 14-yard reception. 10:03 to play in the first. XP is good and the Tigers take a 7-0 lead, cashing in on the takeaway.

Touchdown Syracuse. Some poor tackling the last few plays for the Tigers on this last series. Garrett Shrader to Dan Villari from 27 yards out. Orange are back in it, trailing 14-7 with 2:26 to play in the first quarter.

HALFTIME: Clemson 21, Syracuse 7

Tigers will get the ball to start the second half. A missed field goal from Jonathan Weitz ends the first 30 minutes. Overall, a solid first half. Clemson forced 2 turnovers which have led to 14 points and the defense has looked okay outside of some poor tackling.

Clemson comes out of the halftime locker and hits a big play to Tyler Brown. Klubnik's confidence is growing before us today. The drive fizzles out inside the 20 though but Jonathan Weitz connects on a 38-yard field goal to extend the Tigers' lead.

They are looking at the previous play to ensure Jake Briningstool fumbled, which it looks like to me. Syracuse recovered and will have the ball if it stands.

Tigers get to 3-2 and use a stifling defense that forced multiple turnovers and some big plays offensively as Clemson put up nearly 400 yards of offense. Most complimentary game of the year so far.

Wake Forest on deck next Saturday at 3:30 p.m. on the ACC Network. It will be Homecoming and the Breast Cancer Awareness Game. Thanks for following along today, guys!
