Antonio Williams update, star wideout likely out again
Dabo Swinney gave an update on one of Clemson's top playmakers, Antonio Williams after the sophomore wideout sustained an injury in the Miami game. During his Sunday teleconference, Swinney noted that Wiliams was dealing with a new injury after being out with an ankle issue for three weeks.
"Antonio (Williams) is probably going to be out. It's not his ankle; his ankle is fine. It's a toe issue. He's going to be out for a little while. I hate that for him. He did some good things in the game. Got tackled funny and hurt his toe."
Williams had two receptions for 47 yards in his return, giving a bit of a spark to the Tiger offense. This year, in limited action, Williams has 17 receptions for 192 yards and two touchdowns.
Williams entered the 2023 season after an impactful freshman year. He garnered Freshman All-America recognition after posting 604 yards and four touchdowns on 56 receptions and serving as the team's punt returner for most of the season.
