Clemson signees honored ahead of U.S. Army All-American Bowl; Kickoff Primer
The U.S. Army All-American game is this today at 1 PM, and several Clemson signees have been showing out in the days leading up to the game. So much so that Steve Wiltfong, a recruiting analyst said, "Pound for pound, this might be the best class in the country."
In fact, last night Trevor Lawrence and Xavier Thomas were both honored by the U.S. Army All-American Bowl.
Lawrence was named the U.S. Army Player of the Year
Thomas was named the recipient of the 2018 Anthony Munoz Lineman of the Year Award.
Clemson has a number of signees playing in the game, but one high-value target, Brendan Radley-Hiles makes his college decision during the game. Radley-Hiles was one of the players we mentioned in an article about Clemson targets earlier this week.
Other uncommitted prospects that Clemson is high on include three cornerbacks, Patrick Surtain Jr., Leon O'Neal, and Tyson Campbell.
Linebacker Dax Hollifield is also a target for the Tigers and will showcase his skills against top-flight competition.
In addition to Lawrence and Thomas, Clemson signees playing in today's game include Jackson Carman, Derion Kendrick, Josh Belk, Justin Mascoll, Kyler McMichael, and BT Potter.
Earlier in the week, Steve Wiltfong was on hand at the game and shared these videos and notes on Twitter.
Xavier Thomas:
"The 6-foot-3, 260-pound Thomas is a powerful blur rushing off the edge, and nobody was more dominant over the course of the entire day of practice on Tuesday."

Derion Kendrick:
"One of the most dynamic guys inside the Alamodome has been Derion Kendrick, a natural football player out of Rock Hill (SC) South Pointe who shined on the prep level as a dual-threat quarterback but in this setting has made his case as one of the top receiver prospects in the country in what is a stacked class at the position. He’s a smooth natural catching the football and once he has it can make people miss, becoming a threat to score on every touch."
