Clemson picks up commitment from 4-star running back

The commitments kept piling in this evening as Clemson gained the commitment from running back Chez Mellusi‍. The four-star running back from Naples, Florida announced his decision tonight on his personal Twitter account. 

Mellusi plays football at Naples High School and becomes the 9th member of Clemson's 2019 commits.

In our projections, we felt Clemson would take two running backs in this cycle leaving open a spot for our top pick at running back Quavaris Crouch‍. 

Mellusi picked up an offer from Clemson on April 9th and held offers from 20 other programs including Auburn, Miami, Notre Dame, and Michigan.

Mellusi is touted as a top-20 running back in the state of Florida according to Rivals.com. Clemson's recruiting rank has been pushed to No. 9 in the country according to Rivals after the commitment.
