Report: Zion Williamson will visit Clemson this weekend
According to Stephen Rodgers' Twitter account, Zion Williamson will be in Clemson this weekend for an official visit. Rodgers who writes for Basketball Society and D1 Vision, tweeted Monday night that Williamson would be in Tiger Town.
Williamson has taken officials to Duke, Kansas, Kentucky, and North Carolina. Williamson was in Clemson earlier this season for Clemson's matchup with Auburn on an unofficial visit.
Last weekend Williamson was reportedly going to be in Columbia for South Carolina's exhibition game, but the 5-star prospect didn't make the trip.
The timing could be perfect for Clemson as the basketball early signing period begins Wednesday. Clemson has been called "a legitimate threat" for Williamson as we noted in mid-September.
Williamson is one of the most sought-after prospects to ever play basketball in the Palmetto State.
