Dabo Swinney, "South Carolina's got a heck of a team."
Each Sunday evening Coach Swinney addresses the media at his weekly teleconference. You can listen to the full audio or read some highlights from the call in our transcription below.
Opening Statements:
"Proud of the team, really fun day yesterday. I thought we played extremely well for four quarters. Our first group set the tempo on both sides of the ball. Even though you know you've got a better team, you still want to play well. I thought we had excellent rhythm. Happy for our seniors, to see them finish up 27-1 at home."
"Excited about this week. I know it's important to a lot of people. South Carolina's got a heck of a team, had a great year. It's always a tough place to play. Really looking forward to having a great week of preparation."
On the health of the defense:
"Well I hope so, I think we've been able to really develop some quality depth. We have held a couple of guys the last couple of weeks. Excited about getting everybody back out there tomorrow. Anticipate having a really good group. Hopefully, we will have most of them, if not all of them back and ready to go."
On Mitch Hyatt's injury:
"Mitch is doing alright, just battling a little injury. We just wanted to hold him another week."
On South Carolina:
"They are playing really good team football. They've created a lot of turnovers this year. Their quarterback has played well and they've made plays on special teams. They've found ways to win games and that's what good teams do. They are very aggressive, they try to be good at what they do. They don't try to be all things to all people. Knowing his team (Muschamp) puts them in position to be successful."
On potentially seeing the seniors go undefeated against South Carolina:
"That'd be great. That's one of our goals. To see those guys achieve a goal for their whole career would be something I'm sure they will always cherish. Those guys have had awesome careers and they want to finish on a strong note."
