The Storylines

Clemson is attempting to win a 30th consecutive home game to extend its school record for both the longest home winning streak and longest home unbeaten streak in school history (as well as extend the nation’s longest active home winning streak). Of the 135 players on Clemson’s 2021 roster, 130 have never experienced a home loss in their Clemson careers. Five sixth-year “super seniors” on Clemson’s 2021 roster were on the 2016 team that recovered from a home loss to Pitt by winning the national championship that season.

Good afternoon everyone! Hope everyone is enjoying their CFB Saturday. Clemson and Georgia Tech will get going at 3:41 this afternoon with Miami and Michigan State getting late in the fourth quarter on ABC. Tigers are looking to keep their undefeated streak at home alive today.

Trenton Simpson and Xavier Thomas combine on the sack but there is a penalty for targeting on Thomas that is under review. Didn't look like targeting from what I saw.

We saw a ton of Will Shipley on that last drive. Really showing you his speed and power but give credit to the offensive line for opening up holes in the run game. 7-0 Tigers with 4:37 to play in the first.

OK so I have a bone to pick with the TV timeouts. There was a break after the touchdown and then they came back, had the kickoff and then ANOTHER break. Doesn't make a sense to me.

Great job by Kobe Pace having awareness of where he needed to get to for the first down and excellent job by DJ by stepping up in the pocket there on 3rd and 16.

I did not think we'd be sitting here with 2:47 in the second quarter with Clemson's offense only having 7 points. The rhythm that we're so used to seeing just isn't there right now.

We are now under a lightning delay in Clemson with 32 seconds to play before the half. The delay will last 30 minutes unless there is another strike nearby.

Both coaches for Clemson and Georgia Tech have agreed that the delay will serve as halftime and then once play resumes, they will play the last 32 seconds and then continue into the 3rd quarter. Clemson leads 7-0 with the offense struggling with only 127 yards.

The latest we are hearing from Clemson is play is scheduled to resume at 6:45 p.m., unless there is another lightning strike which would restart the 30-minute clock.

DJ seems to be struggling to get settled into the system and Elliot doesn't seem to know what plays to call to make it fit his QB.

I just hope the D can hold until they get it figured out.

Such a strange performance. Dj just doesn't look like he's handling the pressure and Elliott's playcalling is suspect right now.

I'd move them down in the polls to be honest. Maybe two or three spots.
