After reviewing the travel roster...here are the notable missing pieces for Clemson

DE - Xavier Thomas
DT - Tre Williams
CB - Sheridan Jones
S - Andrew Mukuba
DB - Malcolm Greene

As I mentioned in the Keys to the Game article, a few of these in the secondary we felt like could be out. Had hoped to see XT this week, but I guess he hasn't progressed as quickly as they hoped.

Good morning everyone! Back in the saddle today to see a key ACC matchup between Clemson and Wake Forest. Let's see if the Tigers can pick up a big road win this afternoon.

As Lawton mentioned, there are several defensive starters out today for Clemson. It will definitely be something to watch against Sam Hartman and an explosive Demon Deacon offense.

Clemson comes out and scores on the opening drive. DJU waited for Jake Briningstool to come open on a 12-yd TD pass.

That's an 8 play, 88 yard drive and Clemson leads 7-0 with 8:09 in the first quarter.

Brannon Spector catches the ball for a 41-yard TD on what was almost an interception from Gavin Holmes for Wake Forest.

Clemson leads 14-0 with 5:09 in the first quarter. Impressive start for the Tigers on the road -- DJU is perfect so far (7-7, 104 yards and 2 TDs)

Jahmal Banks beats Fred Davis for a 36-yard TD, who was guilty of pass interference on the last play. Demon Deacs took 3 shot plays and all penalties against a young secondary.

Clemson's lead is cut to 14-7 with 4:13 to play in the first quarter.

This game is going to be a good opportunity to see Wes Goodwin's adjustment ability. Wake Forest found a recipe for victory in that drive against our young secondary.

Clemson will be forced to punt. DJU tried to hit Brannon Spector but two defenders for Wake closed on the ball.

I've been talking about that all season. Being a film guy is one thing-- coaching on game day is a different beast.

K.J. Henry brings the pressure to Sam Hartman and the Deacs are forced to punt. A sack really aided that drive as the defense cranked up the pressure there.

12:56 to play before the half. Clemson up 14-7.

Clemson gets a huge completion from the young freshman, Antonio Williams who has been talked about on the radio show the last few weeks.

The drive stalls, however on the goal line but B.T. Potter knocks through the 24-yard FG to increase the Tigers' lead to 17-7.

Jahmal Banks with his second TD of the day beats Toriano Pride for a 5-yd score. Tigers lead 17-14 with 5:49 to play before the half. Clemson's secondary is doing the best they can considering who is out today, IMO. This is what happens when you have freshman in the ball game. It's going to be tough.

That drive was 15 plays, 51 yards and took up over 5 and 1/2 minutes. I think this will be the recipe for the Clemson offense in the 2nd half with the injuries on defense.
