The Storylines

Clemson is riding a high after last week’s 30-20 win over NC State in Death Valley on Saturday night. The last two meetings between these two teams have been decided by one possession.

In 2020, the altered schedule amid the COVID-19 pandemic turned a planned Boston College home game into a Clemson home game in what turned out to be current Clemson quarterback DJ Uiagalelei's first career start.

Clemson's most recent visit to Boston was in 2018 when true freshman Trevor Lawrence led the Tigers to a 27-7 win that clinched a division title for Clemson in front of a prime-time national audience on ABC.

Tonight is the Red Bandanna Game, which honors the life and legacy of Welles Crowther. BC will be wearing all white tonight. Clemson is in the orange tops with white pants.

DJ made a beautiful throw to Beaux Collins on the left corner but the ball is dropped.

B.T. Potter connects on a 35-yard FG though on a solid opening drive for Clemson. Tigers lead 3-0 with 11:28 to play in the opening quarter.

Jaden Williams drops what would've been a first down for BC. The Eagles get a nice punt that will back Clemson up near their own end zone for their second series of the ball game.

The first half was the fewest in any half this season and Dabo Swinney just noted on the TV broadcast that the Tigers were outplayed in the first half, and that's very clear. We'll see if they can come out and play cleaner in the 2nd half.

DJU fires it downfield to Joseph Ngata to a 38-yard TD reception for the first of two explosive plays. He hit Beaux Collins on the play before.

That's a 5 play drive to quickly increase the Tigers' lead to 17-3 with 11:50 to play in the third. That's the energy that was missing with this offense in the first half.

Tre Williams brought the pressure on 3rd down as BC is forced to punt. You can start to feel the momentum shifting towards Clemson. This is a huge series to create separation.

Clemson scores on the first play of the quarter. DJU finds Beaux Collins wide open over the middle for a 10-yard TD reception. DJ moved the safety's eyes and that's what made it come open

Tigers lead 24-3 with 14:57 to play in the contest.
