The Storylines

Clemson is riding a high after last week’s 30-20 win over NC State in Death Valley on Saturday night. The last two meetings between these two teams have been decided by one possession.

In 2020, the altered schedule amid the COVID-19 pandemic turned a planned Boston College home game into a Clemson home game in what turned out to be current Clemson quarterback DJ Uiagalelei's first career start.

Clemson's most recent visit to Boston was in 2018 when true freshman Trevor Lawrence led the Tigers to a 27-7 win that clinched a division title for Clemson in front of a prime-time national audience on ABC.

Payton Page recovers the fumble for the Tigers. Jeremiah Trotter brought the pressure there. Pressure has taken things over in the 2nd half.

Welcome back, Xavier Thomas. I believe that's his second sack of the night. He makes things look easy and will certainly provide the defensive front a lift going forward. Tigers force a punt with 6:34 to play in the game, leading 24-3.

DJU connects with Brannon Spector on a 13-yard reception on the inside route for the TD. That will put an exclamation point on this one. Tigers lead 31-13 with 4:22 to play in the game.

Tigers with 233 yards of offense here in the 2nd half in a much cleaner performance here.

FINAL: Clemson extends their winning streak to 12 games with a 31-3 win over Boston College.

Tonight was certainly a tale of two halves as you had a slow start offensively in the first half but then the Tigers shore up the issues and finished well. Onto Florida State next Saturday night.
