Clemson football, once synonymous with explosive downfield passing attacks, finds itself grappling with a puzzling dilemma: a lack of production from its wide receivers.

The Clemson Tigers have zeroed in on their top wide receiver prospect in the junior class.

Clemson expects to have many football recruits on campus for the first weekend in June and an athlete with recent offers from the Tigers, Alabama, Oklahoma, the USC-Trojans, and others added his name to the list.

The Clemson offense in 2020 was among the best in the country without Justyn Ross and with Frank Ladson and Joseph Ngata basically unavailable. Ross is expected to return in 2021, but the Tigers will need Ladson and Ngata to be healthy and tough physically and mentally to be successful.
