The Storylines

The last time Clemson visited Bobby Dodd Stadium at Grant Field in Atlanta it was a coming-out party for then-freshman quarterback Trevor Lawrence. Lawrence threw for 176 yards and four touchdowns in a 49-21 win over the Yellow Jackets and the rest is history as the Cartersville, Ga. native was named the starter and the Tigers went on to win the national championship later that season.

Today, the Tigers return to the same field as Lawrence has a chance to become the fourth quarterback in Clemson history to win 30 games as a starter, joining Rodney Williams, Tajh Boyd and Deshaun Watson who are tied for the school record 32 each.

This game will feature another interesting matchup on the offensive and defensive lines as Clemson enters the game tied for second in the country with 18 sacks while Georgia Tech ranks tied seventh in the country for sacks allowed with two.

So how do you all stand on noon kickoffs? I'm a fan of the 3:30ish kicks times, but after a few late weekends, this suits me fine today.

Yup it has... heard most of the first quarter on the radio.

I'll tell you what... the tight end position is going to be a real weapon for the Tigers this year at this rate. Davis Allen gets in on a beautiful play action fake.

Yeah, this is an all out shellacking taking place in midtown Atlanta, Tigers are just pouring it on 45-7. It's not even halftime yet. Biggest thing in the second half is to see what the reserves, especially in the second half can do.

It's 52-7 Clemson at halftime. The only time I can remember right now that the Tigers have a dominant performance like this in ACC play was in 2015 against Miami.
