The Tigers continued their run of success after their Elite Retreat this past weekend in Clemson as consensus four-star DT Isaiah Campbell‍ committed moments ago. Campbell was in town for the weekend and posted Sunday afternoon on his Twitter account that he would be making his commitment known today.

For defensive tackle coach Nick Eason, adding the Southern High School (Durham, NC) standout is a great pickup out of the Tar Heel State. Campbell, the 4th best prospect in North Carolina, has ties to Duke and recently was extended an offer from former Blue Devil head coach Mike Elko, now at Texas A&M.

Campbell’s commitment, along with Amare Adams‍ South Florence (Lake City, SC), solidifies the Tigers' 2025 class in the trenches on the defensive side of the ball. Standing at 6’4 and weighing 265 pounds, Campbell could be versatile enough to play on the edge at times if needed. He’s desired playing weight in college would likely be between 285 and 300 pounds-- so there’s some weight to be added for sure.

“They see me playing all over the defensive line,” Campbell told ClemsonSportsTalk.com. “I like playing everywhere because it gives you more options to pass rush.”

Campbell told us that he is far from a finished product and that there was plenty for him to continue to work on as a player.

“My goals for this season are getting better hand and hand placement, getting stronger and faster,” Campbell noted last summer.

Dabo Swinney’s culture and the message given this weekend were a big contributing factor to Campbell when we spoke with him. He reiterated that he “loved” the trip and that it was the “people” that stood out.

Campbell attended Swinney’s Camp this summer and was also a visitor for Clemson’s win over Notre Dame this past season.

Campbell joins the ranks of Clemson’s 2025 class, expanding the list to 11 commits and he’s the third commit to come to light since the Elite Retreat wrapped, joining two four-star offensive linemen in Brayden Jacobs‍ and Jaylan Beckley‍, who both announced yesterday.

Campbell and Beckley have a good relationship and you have to wonder if seeing Beckley pledge helped tip things in Clemson’s favor.

“I am sort of close to Jaylan Beckley,” Campbell told us when we last spoke. “We were just talking about our recruitment.”

Campbell’s Top 10 included Alabama, Clemson, Duke, LSU, Miami, NC State, Notre Dame, Oklahoma, Penn State and UNC.
