The Storylines

Clemson and Tennessee meet to wrap up the 2022 season on Friday night in South Florida. Tigers freshman quarterback Cade Klubnik will make his first career start against the Volunteers. This is after earning ACC Championship Game Most Valuable Player honors for his sterling performance in reserve against North Carolina. Klubnik will become the first Clemson quarterback to make his starting debut in a postseason game since Clemson abandoned the single-wing offense in favor of the T-formation in 1953.

Since 2022, Clemson quarterbacks are 9-2 in the first career starts with wins by Charlie Whitehurst, Will Proctor, Cullen Harper, Kyle Parker, Tajh Boyd, Deshaun Watson, Kelly Bryant, Trevor Lawrence and DJ Uiagalelei.

A fourth down stop of Will Shipley for the Vols lead to the only score of the third quarter. Tigers struggles offensively continue in Cade Klubnik's debut as we head to the fourth in Miami.

Cade Klubnik runs it in for the 6-yard score as the Tigers finally put an end to their red zone drought.

2-pt try is good from Will Shipley. Tennessee leads Clemson 21-14 with 10:01 to play in the contest.

Joe Milton connects with Ramel Keyton for the 46-yard TD on another quick scoring drive. Only took 1:27 and 6 plays to respond. Just when you thought Clemson had momentum -- Keyton was wide open.

Great play by Tennessee. Still happy with our D. 28 points at this time in the game should have us winning.

Hopefully the Brandon Streeter experiment will come to an end during the off season.

I think you got it all.

This will be another offseason full of questions for Clemson, for sure, particularly concerning WR, OL and play calling.

If you would've told me that the Tigers put up over 400 yards and ran 90+ plays, but only 14 points. I wouldn't have believed you. But here we are. You've got to be able to finish drives offensively and put the ball in the end zone. This will be another offseason full of questions for Clemson -- play calling, WR, RB and OL
